Great, again!

Again, you pump out another wonderful track! The melodies are great, and the sounds are spectacular. Yea, Nexus is the shit. My song that you just reviewed "Euphoria" was made with only Nexus. I'm really lovin your music man!
Keep it up!

Eyy, whenever you release an album, let me kno. I'm gonna buy it for sure.

DaveGuy responds:

hooray! thank you.

Wow

This is a really great loop. It sounds very stealthy. I love the saws and how they arpeggiate and pitchbend and all that. This is a very non-repetitive, unique loop.
Well done!

oh hey chilvan :D

yeah it is a pretty good loop. I made it because someone wanted me to make some stuff for a madness collab,

turned out not too bad. Hope they like it!

thanks

Very evocative

This song really brings out emotion. I can feel your emotion from this piece. Your use of dynamics just brings out the best of this track.

You were not repetitive at all, you kept your flow while just unleashing your anxieties and pains. From the sustain pedal to the chord progressions, I can really feel you on this one. You just did a wonderful job on evoking mood and tone.

I had absolutely no problems with this piece, especially because it's live. Even to me, I believe that the errors are all part of the process---part of the emotion.
To sum it up, this song is a prime example of a poem, but instead of words, notes and mechanics tell the whole story.

As a last note, I suggest you release a mastered version of this song. This song is great live, and I think it deserves a mastered version as well.

Thanks dude! I am chuffed by your lovely review!

Masterpiece!

Wow, this is so moody. It seems like a combination of a The Sims build theme with some dramatic elements. This song is truly evocative, something I look for in a classical piece. Your use of dynamics is great! There's nothing wrong with this track.
But if you really want some constructive criticism, all I have to say to you is make it longer, and try to find a very nice piano VST. This song is so great, I would love to hear it with a very professional sounding piano.

I would have reviewed this earlier, but I was very busy on a classical song of my own. It's the total opposite of this in terms of mood. Maybe you could check it out.

What's the song called?

Great!

This is a pretty good mix. As your first mix, you did pretty well. The transitions were fine, and the intro was just magnificent.
Your use of cutoff controls were great too, they were just at the right levels.

The downsides were that this track got a little repetitive at times. Also, it felt as if a few elements were missing. Those elements are to come from you. Since it's a mix, you have total freedom to add your own spin on things. Be super creative, but without spoiling the song. Your goal is to basically remix some aspects of every track, but not to the point where the track is even slightly unrecognizable.

Other than that, this is a pretty dank mix!

I would have reviewed it earlier, but I've been super busy on a song I just released, which I hope you can check it out as well.

And that i will do!
thanks for the input man!

Get a condenser mic

Wow, you can play! I play drums too but I aint this good...haha, i excel more on piano and saxophone =P. I have many friends that play drums, and this reminds me of them.
Well, there's not much to say, especially for a drum solo, but all I have to say is get a condenser microphone. If you're already using one, then get a better one. From there, your excellent playing would sound crisp and clear.

Haidier responds:

haha, don't worry, USUALLY i have 2 condensers for overhead and a mic for each drum, but a friend was borrowing them so i used my home made condenser haha

if you listen to my other song, welcome to radiation, i recorded the drums in that, with 'crisp clear' quality =P

thanks very much for your fine compliments :D

Wow!

Great use of dynamics! I loved the melodies, and the different combinations of notes. This sounds like the theme song to a villain of sorts. You switched things up a lot, completely avoiding repetitiveness. Your use of percussion was just dank; it totally fit with the style. I just love how you were fast on the pianos. Harmonizing here was pretty dank too. I really enjoyed this piece! You actually gave me some ideas for future projects.

Box-Killa responds:

no worries, checked out some of ure stuff :D it was rad

Great spin

This is a great spin at techno. It did get repetitive at times, you should have switched up some stuff at different intervals. But since this is somewhat of what techno's supposed to be like (the repetitiveness), you get the 9 for sticking with the genre. Techno on NG these days tend to sway more towards dance or trance, but you did well for sticking with the genre. I love that. 5/5 for the perfect attempt.
Great song! I love the transfer to the part with low cutoff at 1:24.

Mans0n responds:

thanks for your honest opinion!

Well done!

This is probably one of my favorite NG beats. The VSTs were just great. Which VSTs did you use? How did you master the song? The quality is just grand. This is some dank shit man!

TheMerelyHuman responds:

Hey! I didn't use VSTs, I actually used soundfonts.
